We’re guessing Orbit had never seen a Trout this big before.

The Houston Astros mascot, who’s been known to rankle a few players, decided to have a little fun before Tuesday night’s game by posting up with a fishing pole near Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout as the outfielder warmed up.

At first, Trout played along, allowing himself to get “caught” by the furry prankster.

That’s when Orbit’s good fortune ran out.

We could have told him that trying to catch a 230-pound All-Star wouldn’t end well.

What did end well, however, was the baseball contest that followed, as Orbit’s Astros stormed to a seven-run lead en route to an 8-3 win over the first-place Angels.

Trout, perhaps distracted by his close pregame encounter, went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
