The start of the 2014-15 college hockey season is just around the corner, and NESN has you covered.
The network and the Hockey East Association on Wednesday announced its broadcast schedule for the upcoming season, with 19 games being televised. NESN’s coverage will kick off Friday, Oct. 10, as UMass Lowell — the defending Hockey East tournament champions — takes on Boston College at home.
“This is a terrific schedule that launches the 31st year of operation for both Hockey East and NESN,” Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna said. “We are particularly pleased that through the agreements with the conference and with UMass Lowell, all 12 of our institutions benefit from this schedule.”
