Every year, at least one player vaults from relative unknown to NFL superstar, thanks to what everyone dreams of — a breakout season.

Pinpointing who will break out in 2014 is a difficult exercise by nature, as the definition of a breakout star is a player who exceeds expectations and takes everyone by surprise.

We’re up to the challenge, though. A slew of major coaching and personnel changes across the NFL this season have paved the way for a number of players to break out in a big way in 2014.

Without further ado, here are 10 players who we think will perform above and beyond expectations this season.
