Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams will be decked out in blue, black, silver and white Sunday, but he’ll also rock a little bit of pink.

Williams’ mother, Sandra Kay Hill, died in May after her battle with breast cancer. In the Panthers’ Week 1 clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Williams’ first game since his mom’s passing  — the veteran running back will have his dreadlocks dyed pink, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As Schefter also pointed out, Williams painted his toenails pink, too.

Williams was very open about his mother’s battle, as he penned a moving story on TheMMQB.com earlier this year, in which he talked about his mother and his ongoing efforts to raise awareness for breast cancer. We’re guessing this should help that cause, too.
