Patriots Injury Report: Julian Edelman, Shane Vereen Added

Xavier Rhodes, Julian EdelmanFOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo came out of Sunday’s Week 2 win over the Minnesota Vikings without any injuries.

Mayo’s absence from practice Wednesday was not injury related. Safety Don Jones also missed practice with a hamstring injury.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (back), running back Shane Vereen (shoulder), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), defensive end Michael Buchanan (ankle), linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), defensive tackle Sealver Siliga (hand), offensive linemen Dan Connolly (knee) and Ryan Wendell (knee) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) were limited, according to the team’s practice participation report.

Collins, Buchanan and Wendell sat out Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings because of injuries.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones was removed from the injury report.
