Patriots Re-Sign Daxton Swanson, Filling Out Practice Squad

Jonas Gray, Adrien RobinsonFOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots brought back a familiar face on Wednesday to fill out their practice squad.

The Patriots re-signed cornerback Daxton Swanson after releasing him from the practice squad Sept. 3. Swanson stood out during Patriots OTAs and minicamp, picking off passes in unpadded practices.

The first-year defensive back forced and recovered a fumble in the Patriots’ fourth preseason game against the New York Giants. He was back on the practice field and in the Patriots’ locker room on Wednesday wearing No. 41.
