NFL: Cleveland Browns at Dallas CowboysFOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots brought back a familiar face on Friday.

The Patriots signed defensive tackle Ben Bass to the practice squad. Bass was in the Patriots’ locker room after appearing at practice wearing No. 93.

The Patriots traded cornerback Justin Green to the Dallas Cowboys for Bass on Aug. 12. Bass was waived by the Patriots on Aug. 26 during early roster cuts.

Practice squad offensive lineman Chris Martin wasn’t at practice on Friday, and he no longer had a locker in the Patriots’ locker room. It appears he has been released to make room for Bass, who adds depth at defensive tackle with Sealver Siliga nursing an injured foot.

The Patriots had three offensive linemen on the practice squad and nine on their active roster before adding Bass.

Here is the Patriots’ full practice squad:

No. 35 RB Jonas Gray
No. 41 CB Daxton Swanson
No. 53 LB Ja’Gared Davis
No. 58 LB Darius Fleming
No. 64 OL Chris Barker
No. 68 OL Caylin Hauptmann
No. 82 WR Josh Boyce
No. 92 DE Jake Bequette
No. 93 DL Ben Bass
No. 97 DL Kona Schwenke
