The Philadelphia Flyers unveiled a third jersey for the 2014-15 season shortly after their rivals to the west revealed theirs. It should look familiar, because it’s the same jersey the Flyers wore at the 2012 Winter Classic.

This sweater has an old-time hockey feel. The burnt orange and vintage white color scheme combined with the jersey stripes and black shoulder yoke give this jersey a classic look, a throwback amid their modern primary jerseys.

It’s the first time that the Flyers have had alternate jerseys since 2008-09, when they introduced their current home jerseys as the third option. They will wear the alternate jersey during 12 games this season, ten home games and two on the road.

For those who did not purchase a 2012 Winter Classic jersey (or if you just want another one), the Fan Zone at the Wells Fargo Center will be selling the third jersey throughout the preseason.
