Greivis Vasquez, Rajon RondoBoston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo continues to be the subject of trade rumors, but he’s insisting he’s not the one behind them.

The latest news came over Labor Day weekend, as ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan “reported” that the Celtics captain requested a trade. Rondo’s camp quickly responded, and on Monday, they shot down the report.

“Neither Bill nor Rajon know where this has come from, but it didn’t come from them,” a spokeswoman for Rondo’s agent, Bill Duffy, texted the Boston Herald. “They want this on the record. Neither has spoken to anyone about this.”

The video of MacMullan talking about Rondo — a behind-the-scenes video from ESPN’s “Around the Horn” — has since been removed.

Rondo is entering the final season of his current contract with the Celtics.
