Brandon WorkmanThe Boston Red Sox’s offense has been absent from the team’s first two games against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox look to stave off a three-game sweep Wednesday afternoon after two lackluster performances in which Boston totaled one run. Brandon Workman toes the rubber for the Sox in the series finale.

Workman avoided his ninth consecutive loss in his previous start Thursday against the New York Yankees. The 26-year-old right-hander didn’t factor into the decision, though, as Red Sox closer Koji Uehara surrendered two home runs in the ninth inning of a 5-4 loss in the Bronx.
