NFL: Preseason-Carolina Panthers at New England PatriotsTimes are tough at Gillette Stadium these days.

The New England Patriots are 2-2 after losing 41-14 on Monday Night Football to the Kansas City Chiefs. The loss was the team’s second-worst defeat since Bill Belichick took over as head coach in 2000.

Media and fans alike have offered a variety of reasons for why New England is struggling, but perhaps no one has taken more criticism than Tom Brady. The Patriots quarterback turned in one of the worst performances of his career against the Chiefs, throwing for just 159 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions before giving way to Jimmy Garoppolo in the fourth quarter.

Yet is Brady solely to blame, or is his recent statistical decline the product of a lack of offensive weapons and poor offensive line play? If that’s the case, then perhaps the onus falls on Belichick, who has failed to provide his quarterback with an adequate supporting staff.

Who do you think deserves the most blame for the Patriots’ early struggles? Cast your vote in the poll below.
