NFL: Preseason-Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh SteelersFOXBORO, Mass. — Alan Branch has yet to find his way onto the New England Patriots’ practice field.

Branch, who reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Patriots on Tuesday, wasn’t present in the Dana-Farber Field House for practice Thursday. The Patriots haven’t made Branch’s signing official yet.

Chandler Jones (hip) was the only player listed on the Patriots’ 53-man roster missing from practice.

No. 97 Kona Schwenke, a practice-squad defensive tackle, also wasn’t spotted, but a defensive player wearing No. 69 strongly resembled the rookie out of Notre Dame. The Patriots could be freeing up No. 97 for Branch.

The Patriots still have two spots left on their practice squad after promoting guard Chris Barker and running back Jonas Gray a week ago.
