The confused look on Alan Pardew’s face says it all, as we don’t know what’s going on here either.

Pardew, manager of Premier League club Newcastle United, was talking to the media Wednesday following his team’s 2-0 upset win over Manchester City in the Capital One Cup (or Football League Cup) when he was interrupted in the bizarrest of ways.

Pardew was in the middle of answering a question when loudspeakers in the press conference room began blaring a warning about the symptoms and dangers of the Ebola virus and how to combat its spread.

A bemused Pardew could only sit quietly and wait for the announcement to end.

Pardew joked “Manchester City are doing this on purpose because we won, right?”

We still don’t know why the Ebola warning was played then and there, but we’re a little safer than we were before Wednesday’s game.
