Fun fact: Austin Davis has thrown for more yards per game this season than both Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Another fun fact: A lot of people still have no idea who he is.
The St. Louis Rams quarterback turned in another impressive performance Sunday, completing 18 of 21 passes for two touchdowns and no interceptions in the team’s shocking upset of the Seattle Seahawks. During an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Monday, though, Davis admitted that he nearly didn’t make it into the stadium.

Davis isn’t exactly the most imposing guy, so we’d forgive someone on the street if they didn’t recognize the second-year quarterback. But a security guard at his own team’s stadium? That’s pretty brutal.
The 25-year-old is doing everything he can to make NFL fans remember him this season. For now, though, it looks like he might have to invest in a name tag.
Check out the video below to hear Davis tell the story, which starts at around the 1:10 mark.
