Jordan CaronThe Boston Bruins, off to a slow start to the season at the betting window at 1-3, begin a three-game road trip on Wednesday night when they face the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins then face the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night and the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday to round out their slate for the week.

The Bruins are sitting as -113 favorites for their game against the Red Wings according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, with Detroit the +103 home underdog.  The total for the game is set at five goals, with the OVER getting the slight edge at -120.

The total has gone UNDER in Boston?s last five games, and in six of Detroit?s last nine games. The OddsShark Computer predicts a 2.4-2.2 Boston victory, which means it sees a close game that potentially comes in UNDER the posted total.

The Boston Celtics are currently 2-2 in exhibition play, and they have back-to-back games at home against Toronto on Wednesday and on the road against Philadelphia on Thursday. The Celtics will then wrap up their preseason with a pair of games against Brooklyn on Sunday and next Wednesday.

The sportsbooks have released their NBA win totals for the 2014-15 season, and the Celtics have been set at 27 wins. The UNDER is at -120 on that futures wager, while the OVER is at even money. A year ago, the Celtics’ win total was set at 27.5, and they finished with 25 wins.

New Rookie of the Year odds have also been released at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Marcus Smart was at 14-1 at the start of the preseason on those player props, but Rajon Rondo?s broken hand and the ensuing increased opportunity for Smart has lowered those odds to 13-1.

Boston College looks to build on a big road win when it hosts No. 24 Clemson this weekend. The Eagles went on the road as underdogs and defeated N.C. State 30-14 last time out. Clemson opened as a 7.5-point favorite for the game, but that line has slid down to Clemson -5 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The total is at 46.5

Both teams are 4-2 both ATS and SU on the season. Clemson is 4-2 ATS in its last six games against BC, and 10-4 in its last 14 road games. The total has gone UNDER in four of the last five games between these two schools.
