If their first seven preseason games are any indication, the Boston Celtics are going to shoot a ton of 3-pointers this season. Even Brandon Bass is joining in on the fun.

Bass nailed a corner three in the final seconds of the third quarter Sunday, capping a 14-3 run that powered the Celtics to a 95-90 preseason win over the Brooklyn Nets.

The Boston bench went crazy over Bass’ bucket, and for good reason. The 6-foot-8 power forward is about the farthest thing the team has from a 3-point shooter, as he’s hit just two shots from beyond the arc in his entire nine-year NBA career.

“We watch too much European basketball, man,” Bass joked after the game, via MassLive.com. “Nah, but I just think the game is growing, and I think that’s the direction everybody’s going.”

Threes are a big part of head coach Brad Stevens’ new-look Celtics offense, and Bass said he put a lot of work over the summer into improving his long-range game. That extra practice certainly won’t hurt, especially as Bass fights for minutes with the likes of Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk, both of whom are much more dangerous from deep.
