6:05 pmBoston Bruins right winger Brad Marchand left Wednesday’s practice early and is a game-time decision for his team’s matchup with the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.

Marchand practiced on the third line alongside Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson before leaving Wednesday’s practice as head coach Claude Julien mixed up his lines to try and find an offensive spark. Outside of the top line featuring David Krejci, Milan Lucic and Seth Griffith, the Bruins’ offense has been inconsistent over the last five games.

Fortunately for the B’s, the Sabres are the perfect opponent for a slumping team. Buffalo has given up the most shots per game (37.2) of any NHL team, and it ranks 30th in both faceoff percentage and goals scored per game.

The Sabres sit at the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings at 2-8-0 and no player on their roster has tallied more than four points or more than three goals this season.
