The Boston Bruins gave it all they had in the final minutes of their matchup with the New York Islanders, but Isles goalkeeper Chad Johnson kept his team out of trouble.
With just over 20 seconds on the clock, the B’s were down by one goal and were being aggressive at the net. Forwards Carl Soderberg and Reilly Smith each made a shot on goal, but Johnson wasn’t letting anything by him. The former Bruins goalie deflected Smith’s shot so it hit the post and made its way toward the boards.
The save was good enough to give the Islanders a 3-2 win and earn the DCU Save of the Day. Check it out in the video above.
