Charles Barkley is pretty good at analyzing NBA games, and he’s made a decent post-basketball career out of it as an analyst on TNT’s “Inside the NBA.”

Which is good, because it means he doesn’t have to play charades for a living.

On Monday, Barkley strayed out of the NBA bubble to make an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” where he teamed up with host Jimmy Fallon for a friendly game of charades against actor Ewan McGregor and musician Jeff Tweedy, the frontman of the band Wilco.

McGregor and Tweedy were a decent team. Barkley was a complete disaster.

The NBA Hall of Famer was charged with guessing Fallon’s first clue and struggled mightily, guessing “Karate Kid” right after learning his response should be four words. His interpretation of Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” wasn’t exactly inspiring either, although Chuck did save face by correctly guessing “Titanic” in the final round.

Barkley is entertaining in pretty much everything he does, and his little game of charades certainly was no different. On the bright side, the NBA season tips off Tuesday night, so it looks like he won’t have to do that again any time soon.
