Emotions were high in the Bruins-Islanders preseason game Friday night in Bridgeport, Conn.

There were a lot of huge hits, a few fights and Boston defenseman Kevan Miller was ejected in the second period after a major penalty for boarding.

The most notable bout was between Bruins defenseman Christopher Breen and Islanders forward Ross Johnston, who dropped the gloves at center ice during the third period. The B’s were winning 4-1 at the time.

It was Breen’s first fight with the Bruins. Boston cruised to a 6-1 victory and will conclude its preseason scheduled Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings at TD Garden.
