Colin Kaepernick and his Beats by Dre headphones aren’t going down without a fight.

The NFL recently struck a deal with Bose that prohibits players from wearing or using other types of headphones while on camera, but that didn’t stop the San Francisco 49ers quarterback from wearing what he likes. Kapernick, who is a spokesman for Beats, said he was fined $10,000 by the league Thursday for wearing bright pink Beats headphones around his neck following Sunday’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Players were made aware that they would be fined if they wore different headphones, but Kaepernick doesn’t seem too concerned about who will be dishing out the money for the rule-breaking.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who also has an endorsement deal with Beats and who was also seen wearing the headphones to his game Monday night, has yet to receive a fine.
