Colin Kaepernick received a $10,000 fine Thursday for wearing Beats by Dre headphones on camera, and it’s forced him to get a little creative.

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback taped over the Beats logo on his headphones during a postgame news conference following Monday night’s victory over the St. Louis Rams to avoid being slapped with another fine.

NFL players aren’t allowed to promote any clothing company that isn’t a league partner, and Bose provides the official headphones of the NFL. However, per Yahoo! Sports, the rule only applies during a 90-minute window after a game, which is why numerous players — including Patriots quarterback Tom Brady — weren’t fined for wearing Beats headphones during warm-ups recently.

Kaepernick’s first offense took place after the 49ers’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.
