2014 Beanpot Tournament - ChampionshipThe Anaheim Ducks bolstered their physicality by calling up a face familiar to Hockey East fans.

Anaheim called up Josh Manson — who played three seasons at Northeastern — from its AHL affiliate Norfolk Admirals on Monday.

Manson, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Draft, was known for his physical presence in the Hockey East, racking up 158 penalty minutes in 99 career collegiate games. He also scored six goals and 21 points.

The 6-foot-3, 217-pound defenseman isn’t the only Husky in the Anaheim pipeline. Kevin Roy, who was 12th in the nation in points per game last year, also was drafted by the Ducks in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
