Matt Tobin must have had a score to settle with his own teammate. Either that or he’s really bad at aiming.

Tobin, an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, found himself in a role reversal Sunday after quarterback Nick Foles’ pass was intercepted by Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson. As Peterson headed upfield, Tobin tried to bring him down with a crushing blow. Here’s what happened instead.

The unlucky Eagle at the other end of Tobin’s hit was wide receiver Jeff Maehl, who probably could have tackled Peterson had his own teammate not demolished him.

We’re guessing that’s why they play offense, not defense. The brutal play is just one of many on the day the Eagles wish they could take back, as they fell to the Cardinals 24-20.
