Flames Sign Defenseman T.J. Brodie To Five-Year Contract Extension

CALGARY, Alberta — The Calgary Flames have signed defenseman T.J. Brodie to a five-year contract extension.

Brodie is in the final year of a two-year deal, signed in 2013, which paid him an average annual salary of $2.1 million.

The 24-year-old has three goals and four assists in seven games this season for the Flames. Calgary drafted Brodie in the fourth round in 2008.

The defenseman has 11 goals and 55 assists in 192 games.
