NCAA Football: Florida State at North Carolina StateThere appears to be more trouble brewing for Florida State starting running back Karlos Williams.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating the senior for an alleged domestic battery incident, according to ESPN.com. The report states Williams allegedly struck his girlfriend, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child.

But that isn’t the only investigation Williams is a part of. According to ESPN.com, the Florida State’s Attorney Office attempted to interview Williams about a June 23 robbery of a 26-year-old FSU student who is also a retired Marine, but Williams refused to speak to an assistant state attorney and an investigator from the Tallahassee Police Department about the incident.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the robbery was a “drug deal gone bad,” and Williams was the man who set it up, the TPD incident report says. The victim said he was robbed by three men while purchasing marijuana at his home near FSU’s Doak Campbell Stadium. The victim told TPD police Williams was his “hook up” for marijuana, explaining he would contact the running back, who would then contact a drug dealer and then set up a place to meet.

Tallahassee police arrested then-17-year-old Daravius “Gutta” Lawrence for his role in the alleged robbery on July 30. Williams was listed as an “associate” of Lawrence on the initial police report.

Tallahassee attorney Tim Jansen, who also represented Jameis Winston during the investigation of the alleged sexual assault, is representing Williams in both of his cases. Jansen said based on what the state attorney’s office told him, Williams is not a suspect and he is not under investigation in the June robbery.

“In fact, I was told this morning that at most Mr. Williams might be a witness (to the robbery),” Jansen said in an email this morning per the Tallahassee Democrat. “Using the term ‘associated’ was an inflammatory device to inflame readers. It’s irresponsible to lead the public to believe the Mr. Williams was somehow involved in the incident.”

Williams has not been arrested or charged in either case.
