FOXBORO, Mass. — Jimmy Garoppolo is royalty around Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots rookie quarterback had his locker nameplate changed to “Prince Aladdin” by undisclosed teammates. Garoppolo wouldn’t accuse anyone, but he said he had a few suspects.

We must say, the resemblance is uncanny.

It seems Garoppolo failed to stay “One Jump Ahead” of his teammates on this prank, but he insisted that justice would be served.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman wouldn’t take credit for nameplate swap, saying “I’m not that smart.” Cornerback Darrelle Revis and rookie defensive end Zach Moore also denied involvement.

The most likely suspect is Tom Brady, a well-known prankster who once put Brian Hoyer’s car on bricks and hid one of his tires when the current Cleveland Browns starter was a Patriots backup.

The media wasn’t permitted to take a picture of Garoppolo’s locker because of NFL restrictions. Garoppolo laughed along with the prank, but he politely declined to pose with his new nickname.
