The Boston Bruins aren’t afraid to pull the trigger on blockbuster deals.
Their latest trade of defenseman Johnny Boychuk to the New York Islanders on Oct. 4 backs up that claim. Boston received two draft picks (and another conditional draft pick) in the deal that sent the 30-year-old to Long Island.
The former Bruin will revisit TD Garden on Thursday, when Boston and New York face off for the first time since the trade.
The Boychuk trade marks the latest Bruins deal to make headlines, but the past decade includes a few other big name players who were dealt from Boston.
