Fans at Quicken Loans Arena were ready to see LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving run out of the tunnel and onto the court for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Wine & Gold scrimmage.

Instead, they got rookies Joe Harris and Alex Kirk.

The prank was orchestrated by James, per the Akron Beacon Journal’s Jason Lloyd. James apparently had the team huddle together before the intrasquad scrimmage Wednesday and called for the two rookies to lead the way out. But when Harris and Kirk started running, James held the rest of the team back.

Harris told Lloyd he thought something was fishy, but it was too late by the time they noticed.

“I kind of figured something was up because everyone started laughing initially when we were running out,” Harris said. “James (Jones) was joking around about how (LeBron) is the biggest kid on the floor or the weight room or wherever. He’s a great teammate, a great guy and it’s a lot of fun to be around him.”

To say Detroit Tigers reliever Joba Chamberlain has had a bad American League Division Series is an understatement. Chamberlain’s ERA was actually 108.00 on Friday.
