Liverpool To Visit Bournemouth In Capital One Cup Quarterfinals

Dejan Lovren and Kolo ToureLiverpool has been drawn to play AFC Bournemouth away from home in the quarterfinals of the Capital One Cup (or Football League Cup).

Brendan Rodgers’ team will travel to the Goldsands Stadium for the clash, which will take place during the week commencing December 15.

The two teams are to meet for a second time this calendar year. In late January, the Reds were 2-0 winners over the Cherries at Goldsands in last season’s FA Cup fourth round.

Eddie Howe’s side secured its place in the last eight of this year’s Capital One Cup by defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-1 on Tuesday — on the same night Liverpool edged past Swansea City by the same scoreline at Anfield.

Elsewhere in the quarter-finals, Chelsea have been handed a trip to Derby County, Sheffield United will host Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur face Newcastle United at White Hart Lane.
