It’s hard to say anything positive about the New York Jets after their horrendous — and occasionally hilarious — performance at home against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
So when Jets general manager John Idzik spoke for nearly 20 minutes in support of his team without ripping anyone apart, WFAN radio host Mike Francesa did the honors instead in an epic seven-minute rant Monday morning.
Francesa destroyed nearly everyone on the Jets, starting from Idzik all the way down to Geno Smith.
“Here’s the problem with the Jets and Rex Ryan,” Francesa yelled. “They are so easily satisfied, any little victory even inside the game makes them smile and high five. They’re still losing and they’re doing that!”
The best quip came near the end of the rant when Francesa noted that Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins caught only three passes for 157 yards.
“You know how long it takes a Jet receiver to get a 157 yards? Three years!”
