Mike Gundy made a name for himself back in 2007. One can’t blame the Oklahoma State football coach for trying to cash in on his awesomeness.

Gundy emphatically shouted, “I’m a man! I’m 40,” while defending one of his players during a postgame press conference Sept. 22, 2007. The tirade soon went viral, and Gundy revealed in a recent interview that he unsuccessfully tried to trademark his rant.

“I tried to and somebody else had got it before that. I thought about it,” Gundy told Campus Insiders. “Then my 12-year-old son, he has it memorized. Sometimes I’ll catch him doing it in the family room with his buddies in there and he can do it almost just to a T.”

Gundy was upset over a critical article written about former Oklahoma State quarterback Bobby Reid. He suggested the reporter who wrote the article attack him rather than his players, though Gundy certainly had an interesting way of going about things.
