NFL Week 9 Odds: Patriots Holding As Touchdown Favorites Over Bears

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at New England PatriotsThe New England Patriots will host the Chicago Bears in a Week 8 interconference matchup Sunday. The Patriots opened as touchdown favorites, with the line holding steady thus far at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The total is set at 49.5.

The Patriots are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games and have gone OVER in seven of their last eight home games. The Bears are 4-2 ATS in their last six road games and have gone OVER in five of those six games.

The Patriots stayed healthy in their Week 7 win over the New York Jets. They worked out their new running back rotation, with Shane Vereen leading the way. Jonas Gray has emerged as Shane Vereen?s backup in the wake of Stevan Ridley?s season-ending knee injury.

Aside from the Patriots’ early line, there are four other Sunday games with at least a touchdown spread, including Broncos-Chargers, Chiefs-Rams, Browns-Raiders and Dallas-Washington. Denver opened as a 6.5-point favorite over San Diego for “Thursday Night Football,” but that line has climbed to 7.5 points following the Chargers’ loss to Kansas City. San Diego is 5-1 ATS and 4-2 straight up in its last six games in Denver.

Kansas City hosts St. Louis as a touchdown favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Chiefs have scuffled at home, going 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games and 1-4 SU in their last five.

Cleveland hosts Oakland as a touchdown home favorite. The Browns are just 2-4 ATS in their last six home games but are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games against the Raiders.

Dallas opened as a 9-point favorite over Washington on “Monday Night Football,” but the line already has climbed to 10. Washington is on a 3-15 SU run at Dallas, and yet the team is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games at Dallas.

Seattle and Miami are the two biggest road favorites in Week 8. Seattle is a 5-point favorite over Carolina and has covered the spread in four of its last five against the Panthers. Miami is a 5-point favorite over Jacksonville. The Jaguars are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games and 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.

New Orleans hosts Green Bay to close out Sunday, with the Saints only a 1.5-point favorite at home on the week’s opening lines. The Saints are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 home games and 4-2 ATS when hosting Green Bay.
