The Northwestern University Wildcats will sport a unique look for the football team’s homecoming game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Oct. 18.
The school released photos of the black, gothic-style Under Armour uniforms on Monday, and one word that comes to mind when we look at them is “academic.” The unis feature a black-purple-and-gold color scheme, a nod to the school’s colors of “purple and ‘old gold,'” during the late 19th century, according to the Northwestern Athletics Facebook page.
The arch on the back of the helmet mimics the Northwestern Arch found on the school’s campus.
