The Pittsburgh Steelers gave their fans plenty to cheer about Sunday afternoon, and that included one of Pittsburgh’s finest.

The Steelers rolled to a win over the Indianapolis Colts behind a career day from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. However, the Pittsburgh defense also played a role in defeating the Colts.

The Pittsburgh defense did give up 34 points, but the unit was able to generate some points of its own in the second quarter. Cornerback William Gay jumped a route and stepped in front of a pass from Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Gay then dashed 33 yards for the touchdown.

As Gay ran down the sideline, one on-duty Pittsburgh police officer reacted like many of the more than 62,000 Steelers fans at Heinz Field — he celebrated. Cameras caught the cop fist-pumping and hollering as Gay ran toward paydirt.

This officer is no Steve Horgan, but it’s a pretty awesome reaction nonetheless.
