Alan BranchFOXBORO, Mass. — Alan Branch was back on the New England Patriots’ practice field after missing Thursday’s session for non-injury related reasons.

Friday marked Branch’s second practice with the Patriots, and since he returned to the field, there’s a chance he could suit up Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Branch’s absence Thursday remains unexplained, though he’s expected to speak with the media Friday afternoon.

Defensive end Chandler Jones and practice-squad wide receiver Jonathan Krause were the lone players missing from practice. No new practice-squad players were on the field in Krause’s place.

The Patriots were in shells and shorts with the game of the week just two days away.
