Chandler Jones, Darrelle Revis, Logan RyanFOXBORO, Mass. — Don’t hit the panic button just yet, but two of the New England Patriots’ best defensive players were absent from practice.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis and defensive end Chandler Jones were the lone Patriots missing from Tuesday morning’s practice. Jones was listed as probable on last week’s injury report with a shoulder ailment, but he played in, and finished, Thursday night’s 27-25 win over the New York Jets.

Jones was limited in practice Tuesday and Wednesday with the hurt shoulder. Neither Jones nor Revis appeared to suffer an injury in the game.

Offensive linemen Dan Connolly (concussion), Bryan Stork (concussion) and Cameron Fleming (finger), as well as safety Nate Ebner (finger), returned to practice for the Patriots. Fleming and Ebner both had casts on their right hands. Ebner’s brace appeared to be covering his thumb.

The Patriots practice four times this week, and they won’t release an injury report until Wednesday afternoon, so Revis and Jones’ absences could remain a mystery.
