With Paul Pierce playing in the nation’s capital now, it’s only fitting that he catered to his new city and dressed up as someone patriotic for Halloween.

The Washington Wizards forward busted through the door of his home Friday dressed up as Captain America ready to save the country — or at least his new team.

Teammate Marcin Gortat, who did not dress up, was a fan of Pierce’s costume.

Pierce is off to a solid start with the Wizards with Bradley Beal out of the lineup. He’s averaged 16.5 points and five rebounds in his first two games. Not exactly Captain America numbers, but very respectable.
