A missing Denver Broncos fan has been found safe, according to police.
Paul Kitterman, 53, had last been seen at the Broncos’ Thursday night game against the San Diego Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The man was found Tuesday more than 100 miles from where he went missing and told police he had his fill of football before leaving the game, according to KUSA-TV in Denver.
Kitterman’s family filed a missing person report with the Denver Police Department on Friday. A family friend called 911 on Tuesday with information regarding his whereabouts. Officers couldn’t immediately locate Kitterman, but they found him a short time later at a Kmart store in Pueblo, Colo., after a furniture store owner saw the man and called police.
Kitterman didn’t say how he ended up in Pueblo, but police do not suspect foul play. Kitterman’s stepson told KUSA-TV his stepfather has no known health problems and doesn’t use drugs, adding even more strangeness to the story.
The Broncos defeated the Chargers 35-21. They’ll travel to Gillette Stadium for a date with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots this Sunday.
Kitterman might sit this one out.
