The St. Louis Rams concocted one heck of a trick play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams jumped out to an 18-point lead over the Seahawks in the second quarter by faking out Seattle’s special teams, the FOX broadcasters, the cameraman and everyone at Edward Jones Dome with a masterful trick punt return that resulted in a Stedman Bailey touchdown.

Rams-Punk-Seahawks

The Rams successfully made it appear that Tavon Austin would haul in the punt on the left side of the field, drawing the coverage team in his direction. In reality, though, Bailey was off to the races on the opposite side of the field after catching the ball, going the distance for a 90-yard return that gave the Rams a big lead over the defending Super Bowl champs.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll came out to argue the play, claiming Austin called for a fair catch, but to no avail.
