Craig Breslow won’t suit up in a Boston Red Sox uniform next season.

The Red Sox declined Breslow’s 2015 contract option, general manager Ben Cherington announced Friday. The left-hander had a down year in 2014, going 2-4 with a 5.96 ERA in 54 1/3 innings.

Breslow said last week that he’d be “a bargain” for another team willing to sign him in the event the Red Sox did not. Breslow said he’s confident he will pitch to the value of his contract.

The Red Sox also reinstated outfielder Shane Victorino from the 60-day disabled list, putting their 40-man roster at 38. Victorino played in just 30 games last season because of injuries.
