Lamarr Houston made a really bad mistake Sunday.

The Chicago Bears defensive end injured himself while celebrating a garbage-time sack against the New England Patriots. On Monday, the news was the worst-case scenario. According to multiple reports, Houston tore his ACL and is out for the rest of the season.

Houston really was happy with himself after sacking Patriots backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the fourth quarter. He jumped up and down before his leg gave out — with the Bears trailing 48-23 at the time.

Houston understandably regretted his decision following the loss, which left the Bears at 3-5 and tied for last place in the NFC North.

“I probably shouldn’t have celebrated while they were blowing us out, but it happens,” Houston told reporters after the game, according to the Chicago Tribune.

UPDATE (4:35 p.m.): The Bears confirmed that Houston is out for the season.
