VInce WilforkNew England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork typically leads by example, not speech.

The Patriots captain reportedly made an exception Monday night after an embarrassing 41-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Wilfork addressed the Patriots in the locker room, stressing that the season is still young, a league source told ProFootballTalk.

Wilfork, an 11th-year veteran, assured the Patriots that they have plenty of talent and good things can happen this season, according to PFT’s report. The veteran All-Pro had a similar message to the media after the game.

Wilfork restructured his contract to stay with the Patriots after rupturing his Achilles tendon last season.
