The ugliness on the field spilled over into the locker room for the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The Bears lost to the Miami Dolphins 27-14, dropping Chicago to 3-4 on the season and 0-3 at Soldier Field, then things reportedly turned nasty very quickly. According to multiple reports, lots of yelling and screaming came from the Bears’ locker room after the game, with players eventually having to be pulled out of the room.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall and offensive lineman Chris Long reportedly were at the center of the chaos. Marshall vented about the team’s record while Long “ripped” the fans.

Long has since tweeted about the incident, sharing his side of the story with a post that doesn’t do much to clear up things.

UPDATE (6:10 p.m.): ESPN.com’s Michael C. Wright reported, per a source, that Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was the target of Marshall’s frustration. The source said Marshall “called out” Cutler, although the receiver refused to confirm it after the locker room fiasco.
“OK, were you in here?” Marshall asked, via ESPN.com. “Were you in this locker room? This is a team matter. That has nothing to do with you. There’s a lot of guys this means a lot to.
“We’re 3-4. We need to play better. That’s unacceptable. That’s unacceptable. Unacceptable; shouldn’t have lost today, shouldn’t be 3-4. (The) offense (has) got to play better. It’s as simple as that.”
Marshall continued to air his frustration with the Bears’ offense that gained just 54 yards in the first half and committed three turnovers in the embarrassing loss.
“Same mistakes, same mistakes, same mistakes,” Marshall said. “We’ve got to protect the football. We’ve got to protect the football. We’ve got to execute the game plan. We’ve got to adjust when things don’t go as we saw on the film.
“We’ve got Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett, Matt Forte. We’ve got a stud offensive line. We’ve got a great, great group of guys, and this is unacceptable. What did we put up, 14 points? Was it 14 points? That’s unacceptable.”
The Bears better put it together quickly: They travel to Foxboro to face the AFC East-leading New England Patriots next Sunday.
