Vincent JacksonThe New England Patriots reportedly are looking for an offensive boost before the trade deadline.

The Patriots are one of many teams who have expressed interest in trading for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning. The Patriots are joined by the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks.

The 6-foot-5, 241-pound receiver has 25 catches for 344 yards and two touchdowns for the 1-5 Buccaneers. He has a base salary of $10 million this season and two years left on a five-year, $55.56 million contract.

The Patriots also are looking for help at running back after losing starter Stevan Ridley to a season-ending injury, a league source told ProFootballTalk.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is more likely to be traded than Jackson. The Patriots could have interest in the former Greg Schiano draft pick.

The trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. The Patriots already have acquired linebacker Akeem Ayers and a seventh-round draft pick from the Tennessee Titans for a sixth-round pick.

The Patriots traded for defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga at last year’s trade deadline and Aqib Talib in 2012.
