Rob Gronkowski is a relative newcomer to the long-standing rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. But he still appreciates the history.
The two quarterbacks will meet for the 16th time when the New England Patriots take on the Denver Broncos at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. The big tight end has had his fair share of big moments with the team, and at a recent “Play 60” event, he explained to NESN’s Jamison Coyle just what it means to be a part of it all.
“It’s excellent,” Gronkowski told Coyle about being in the middle of the quarterbacks’ rivalry. “It’s an honor to even be out there. Growing up as a kid, I always watched Brady vs. Manning. Now, being a part of it and trying to help out Brady get that win for the Patriots, it’s great to be out there, and it’s an honor.”
