Tom BradyIt’s on to November.

Tom Brady on Thursday was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October after guiding the New England Patriots to a perfect 4-0 record. So much for the 37-year-old quarterback being washed up.

Brady has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month seven times over his 15-year career. It’s the first time he’s earned the honor since December/January 2011.

Brady completed 100 of 144 passes for 1,268 yards and 14 touchdowns with no interceptions in October. He’s the only starting quarterback not to throw a pick in the month, and only Peyton Manning — who also threw for 14 touchdowns — had as many TDs.

The Patriots entered October with the 29th-ranked offense in the NFL. The unit now ranks 10th in terms of yardage. New England jumped from 24th to third in terms of scoring offense.

The Patriots have a head of steam entering Sunday’s clash with Manning’s Denver Broncos. It’s thanks in large part to Brady’s brilliance.
