Boston fans never will forget Trot Nixon. The former Red Sox outfielder never will forget them, either.

Nixon joined host Chris Rose and former teammate Kevin Millar on MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk” this week as the Red Sox celebrated the 10th anniversary of their 2004 World Series win. The topics ranged from Boston’s epic title run to Nixon’s clutch heroics.

Nixon spent parts of 10 seasons with the Red Sox from 1996 to 2006. He hit .283 with six homers and 25 RBIs in 42 career playoff games for the Red Sox and Cleveland Indians.

Nixon, of course, forever will be remembered as Boston’s original “dirt dog.”
