Vancouver Canucks forward Zack Kassian was an unwelcome guest on the St. Louis Blues bench Thursday night.

After a mess of a line change by Vancouver, Kassian went to great lengths to ensure his team didn’t get whistled for too many men on the ice. The forward was too far away from his own bench so he figured any ol’ bench would do, as he attempted to jump into St. Louis’ area before the refs blew their whistles.

Needless to say, the Blues were not impressed with the move.

The play, albeit dangerous considering the look of death Steve Ott gave Kassian, actually worked. Kassian got his feet off the ice long enough to avoid a penalty and he also provided a pretty wonderful blooper during the Canucks’ 4-1 win over St. Louis.
