Brady Quinn: SEC Getting Too Much Love In Playoff Committee Rankings

With a few more weeks left in the college football regular season, the SEC continues to get love from the college football playoff selection committee.

Alabama and Mississippi State would both be in the playoff if the season ended today, while Ole Miss and Georgia lurk in the top 10.

But despite acknowledging that the SEC is the most powerful conference in college football, former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn wrote on Football by Football that he had a problem with the exclusion of TCU and not having undefeated Florida State higher up in the rankings.

Quinn notes that Alabama and Mississippi State have each only won one game against current top 25 opponents. Florida State has won two games against current top 25 teams, one of which was without Jameis Winston. Meanwhile, he also argues that TCU’s and Oregon’s strength of victory is more impressive than both the Crimson Tide’s and the Bulldogs’.
